Questa edizione natalizia del Diario di Grails copre la settimana 51 e metà della settimana 52, anche la prossima coprirà una settimana e mezza.
Il team di Grails è pronto con la
prima release candidate di Grails 3.1. I punti salienti riguardano l'aggiornamento a Spring Boot 1.3 e Spring 4.2, supporto migliorato ai profili, perfezionamenti al proflilo rest-api (conosciuto precedentemente come web-api), un nuovo profilo Angular JS, la suite GORM 5 e il supporto alla pubblicazione attraverso i plugin Gradle. Grails 3.0.11, che risolve una manciata di
problemi minori
E' stato
rilasciato Gradle 2.10, portando miglioramenti significativi delle prestazioni, in particolare per build grandi. Le
note di rilascio descrivono anche miglioramenti al Gradle TestKit, e un nuovo task buildEnvironment, che permette di ottenere una migliore comprensione delle dipendenze del buildscript delle build Gradle.

OrientDB adesso supporta ufficialmente
orientdb-groovy di Eugene Kamenev come groovy binding. Verificate la
documentazione di binding col linguaggio.
Jorge Franco è pronto con una nuova versione del plugin per Grooscript (1.2.0) per Grails 3. Presenta una nuova funzionalità in incubazione per creare WebComponents in Groovy. La
documentazione mostra come sia facile ed elegante da utilizzare.
Le prime indiscrezioni dicono che SpringOne rimuoverà la parte 2GX.
springone.com ha rimosso la parte 2GX dal logo. C'è una discussione su Twitter con commenti
qui. Vegas sarebbe stato divertente, ma non senza Groovy e Grails!
